LOUCERNA ART HOTEL was build at the edge of Halepa hill in 1970, in the shape of Stone Water Tower located in Lucerne Lake, Switzerland, where the hotel name derives from.

The building for about 30 years catered as the first private primary & high school in Chania Town.

However in 2002 was reconstructed into a fine hotel, comprising six rooms and two apartments, with superb views over the sea, Chania Town and White Mountains.

Every room is decorated with original paintings from small Greek islands. The walls and ceiling of the atrium at the second floor is hand painted along with the main staircase and walls going down.

All artistic painting was done by Alexandr Vihrov a temporary artist from Russia.

The Ground floor is a pleasant area with excellent view to the city and Cretan Sea, used for breakfast, coffee or a drink. In our veranda you will enjoy the magical sunset overlooking the town and the endless blue of Cretan sea !!!

Loucerna Art Hotel offers tastefully decorated rooms with amazing panoramic views of Cretan sea and Chania Town. All rooms featuring a unique painting work of Art, 32″ flat screen smart TV, mini bar, safety deposit box, coffee facilities, air-conditioning, telephone. Private bathrooms with free toiletries, hairdryer and shower. Free Wi fi, access is available in all rooms and public areas. Free luggage storage is provided. Airport shuttle can be arranged upon a charge. Early arrival or late departure free of charge if there is availability. The walls, ceiling of Atrium, & public areas are hand painted by Alexandr in House Artist.

Loucerna Art Hotel is located 4 km away from the Chania centre with plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and unique attractions in all town. The bus stop is just 100 m from the hotel and taxis available any time.
We are happy to organize your daily trips to popular attractions but also to places off the beaten path. Last but not least, every Tuesday we organize cooking classes of Cretan cuisine at an extra charge.
